I'm Emily Fossum, a professional portrait artist, military spouse, and proud mother of two wonderful children. My artistic journey has been a dream come true, allowing me to pursue my passion for art no matter where our military adventures take us.
New Beginnings in North Carolina
After our recent move to North Carolina, I'm thrilled to have settled into a new studio space. With the kids starting school, I now have more dedicated time to focus on commissions, sketching, and creating personal art pieces.

Over the past 13 years, I've found my niche in black and white portraits of people and animals—two subjects that inspire me the most. From concept to final product, you can trust me to deliver something truly special.
A Lifelong Love for Art
From the age of four, I've carried a sketchbook and pencils with me wherever I go. You never know when inspiration will strike! My formal education, with a concentration on drawing, laid the initial stepping stones for the techniques I use today.

Life's Adventures
While art is my passion, my first priority is being a wife and mom to my amazing family. I'm incredibly fortunate that they support me in my artistic endeavors. Together, we've made everywhere we've lived feel like home, from England to the vibrant communities of the Washington D.C. area, and now, our new adventure in North Carolina.
