A portrait is a drawing from the chest up or of a whole person, and is made to capture their unique personality--that sparkle in their eye! Using graphite pencils on thick bristol board paper, I am able to create a very life-like image of your loved one. The better the photo from which I have to work, the better the final drawing will be. Graphite portraits are rendered using layer after layer of graphite to subtly build up value, creating a soft, yet detailed final drawing. To capture a unique personality and likeness I generally recommend to only have one subject. However, if you have a special photo in mind that includes more than one person or has a background you'd like included, we can discuss options in our free consultation.

Graphite pencil portrait on white paper--price as listed for a one subject portrait with no background, add $200 per additional subject and/or background. Shipping is not included and is calculated based on the size of artwork. Twenty minute photo consultation included.
